Email is a great tool that is supporting internet and internet users for a long time. There is much more you can do with emails than just sending text messages. You can use emails to post on your social media, share photos fire off urgent texts, write a blog post and even control smart home. 



1. Facebook Status

Every Facebook user has their own Facebook email address. You can find it by clicking on Settings > Mobile. You need to setup Facebook text service in order to use this service. You can send an email to this Facebook email address to post status update on your Facebook timeline. If the body of the email is left empty, the subject line is posted as your status. You can attach photo or video too.

2. Post to Tumblr


Tumblr has its own post-by-email service like Facebook. You can find the email address in Settings page of your Tumblr account. You can send text, photos, link, chat posts on Tumblr profile using this email address. There are some special tags that you can use to format the status update.

3. Save to Evernote

You can send email to save the text or attachment to your Evernote account. Evernote has its own upload-via-email function. You can find your personal email in account settings page. You can choose particular notebook as well as tags and reminders by using special tags in the text body.

4. Upload Photos to Flickr

Flickr too has its own upload-via-email mechanism. You can follow the link in Flickr account settings page and send an email with photos attached to add them to your Flickr account. The subject line of email servers as the title for the photo while, the body of the email is used as description. You can add tags too.

5. Upload to Box

Dropbox is most popular cloud service to store files and folders. It has amazing upload-via-email function. You can upload files by sending them to specify email address. Each folder on your box has specific email address to upload files. You can find them by heading to the folder you want to upload the file to, then choose More, Properties and Email Options. Tick the box labelled allow uploads to this folder via email and you are good to go. You can send email with files attached the address shown.
