Tech giant Microsoft has acquired the office mobile app LiveLoop which allows multiple users to collaborate on PowerPoint presentations simultaneously.
The purchase is the latest by tech giant Microsoft, after recent acquisitions of other mobile apps for professional use.



LiveLoop’s first product was a plug-in for PowerPoint that enabled multiple-user collaboration on a particular project. The start-up posted a notice to its website that its website announcing the shut down on April 24. LiveLoop will be deleting all presentations and user data on its platform after that point.

LiveLoop’s technology will be a benefit for Office, at a time when Microsoft is facing increased competition in the productivity space.

LiveLoop allows users to share PowerPoint presentation—a Microsoft Office program and PDFs online among collaborators who can access and synchronize the material from any mobile device.

You can view and present from any device, including a smartphone, so whether you're an attendee or a presenter, you can take your next meeting from the beach.

In recent months, Microsoft has also purchased Minecraft maker Mojang as well as email app Acompli and popular Sunrise calendar app.
